Hurrah! The great British summer has arrived and it is officially picnic weather. What better excuse is there to put on your favourite summer dress for a picnic? Pick up the palest rosé you can find, lots of strawberries, make a couple of sandwiches and get your booty down to your nearest bit of greenery.
This is my current favourite summer dress. It is by Isabel Marant and I picked it up in Matches Fashion a few weeks back. I love it! The print is absolutely stunning: my mother actually has this in the shirt version which is equally as lovely. I love that it’s not too short and it is super lightweight and loose. So no matter how hot it gets, you’re not going to get all sweaty.
I paired the dress with my favourite bag: my Anya Hindmarch Ebury that you can fit so much into it. It is great because you can carry it using the handles on the bag or you can attach one of the two gorgeous long straps that come with it, and wear it over your shoulder or as a cross body bag. This one came with a dark red long strap (which I have clipped on here) and also in light grey.
I popped on my latest purchase, these too-cute-to resist Charlotte Olympia Kitty Flats which I have posted a review on here and haven’t been able to part with since I picked them up a couple of weeks ago.
I must confess, I did visit the ice cream van twice in an hour. Oops!
